Terms & Conditions — Artists
Last updated: May 2026. Draft — pending legal review.
These terms apply if you are an individual artist using HyperTribe to develop your career (a “Member”). If you are accessing HyperTribe on behalf of an organisation, label, or agency, our Business Terms apply instead.
1. Who we are
HyperTribe is operated by HyperTribe Music Services Ltd (company number 14184929), registered in England and Wales (“HyperTribe”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using HyperTribe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Membership
Membership gives you access to the HyperTribe community, weekly Creator Reports, opportunity surfacing, intro drafts, and the events programme. The exact features included depend on the membership tier you choose at sign-up.
We work continuously to improve the service. Specific features may change over time, and we will give reasonable notice of any material reductions.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to become a Member. By signing up you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know straight away if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Payment and cancellation
Membership fees are billed monthly or annually in advance, in GBP, including VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Under UK consumer law you have 14 days from sign-up to cancel for a full refund, provided you have not yet substantially used the service in that period. After 14 days you can cancel any time from your account settings; your access continues until the end of the current billing period and we do not refund part-used periods.
6. Your content and your work
You own everything you create. Music, lyrics, images, posts, biographical information you upload or submit through HyperTribe remains your intellectual property.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and process your content solely so we can provide the service to you (e.g. show your posts inside the community, run analyses for your Creator Report). This licence ends when you remove the content or close your account.
7. Community code of conduct
Be respectful. Don't harass, defame, or post unlawful content. Don't share other members' private information or work without their consent. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these standards.
8. AI features and recommendations
HyperTribe uses AI to draft messages, score behaviour, recommend opportunities, and surface patterns. AI outputs are suggestions to support your decisions, not professional advice. They are not a substitute for legal, financial, medical, or accounting advice. You should review AI-generated drafts before sending them.
9. Termination
You can cancel any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or the community code of conduct. Where the breach is material we may act immediately; otherwise we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve it.
10. Your data
We process your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. You have rights under UK GDPR including access, correction, deletion, and portability — details and how to exercise them are in the Privacy Policy.
11. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, lost profits, or business losses (we know you might be a working artist, but this section is about losses we couldn't reasonably have anticipated). Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will let you know by email or in-app notice with at least 30 days' notice for material changes. If you don't agree to a change you can cancel before it takes effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are resident in another part of the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
