EPK template for musicians

An EPK is one page that tells a promoter, a festival or a journalist who you are and how to book you. This builds it from your own words: your story, a short bio, one track, a live video, two photos and a contact, in your own colour, ready to save as a PDF or a web page.

  • Add one track that plays. It's the one thing every reader opens.
  • A live video is the most useful thing for anyone booking a show. A phone video of a full song is fine.
  • Add an email. Someone who wants to book you has to know how.
YOUR EPK, ONE PAGE

Built from your words only. Nothing is stored or sent. Put the page on your own site or save the PDF somewhere you can share, then send it as a link, never as an attachment.

How to use it

  1. 1Write the bio first. Your one-line story and a 50-word bio. The free bio generator builds both from your own words.
  2. 2Pick one track and one live video. The ones you'd want heard if they only hear one. Full web links, so they play in one tap.
  3. 3Add two photos and what's next. Download links to two photos big enough to print, your next release and your next shows.
  4. 4Check the notes. The builder flags loose words, undated numbers, a missing video or contact, and anything over one page.
  5. 5Save it and send it as a link. Save as a PDF or a web page, put it somewhere you can share, and send the link in a short email.

Why one page

The person opening your EPK has a minute and one question: do you fit the night, the festival or the piece they're putting together. One track and one live video answer that faster than a whole catalogue. Everything else is a click away. The EPKs we build with the artists we work with are one page for the same reason.

What to do with it

Send it as a link, in a short email that does the asking. If it's a gig, our booking email builder writes that email. Update the page every release: the track, the dates and the bio's last line. Our guide to making an EPK has what to leave out and when you need one.

Questions

What should be in a music EPK?

Your one-line story, a short bio, one track that plays, one live video, two photos, what's coming up and a contact. Press quotes, facts you can back up and live basics if you have them.

How long should an EPK be?

One page. The person reading it is deciding one thing, quickly: whether you fit what they're putting on. The builder tells you when you've gone over.

Should I send my EPK as a PDF or a web page?

Either, as a link. Save it as a PDF and share it from a file link, or download the web page and put it on your own site. Never attach it to the email.

Why does it ask for links to my photos?

So the person reading can download them at full size. Upload two photos somewhere you can share from, and paste the links. The first one sits at the top of your page.

Do I need an EPK to get gigs?

Not for the first rooms. A short email with your one-line story, a link that plays and your dates does that job. Make the EPK when promoters, festivals or journalists start asking for one.

Is this EPK template free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark. It's built in your browser from your words.

Do you keep what I type?

No. Nothing is sent to us or saved anywhere, so save the PDF or the web page before you close the tab.
